Key Features

The DSP400 is a Breakthrough in Power Technology: High-Amperage, Single-Pole with Provisions for Safety Circuit

The inclusion of two pre-wired pilot contacts with a pass-through capability of 10 A wiring enables the DSP400 to be used for safety circuits or other control applications, adding versatility to its functionality.

A shorting plate design allows for the tying of all phase contacts together, transforming the multi-contact device into a single pole. This design provides flexibility in power distribution applications.

The DSP400 is equipped with a padlockable pawl feature that allows a lock to be applied to prevent the insertion or removal of plugs. This physically prevents the device from being connected or disconnected while maintenance is in progress. This ensures that once the lock is in place, the device cannot be operated or accessed.
The DSP400 employs robust spring-loaded silver-nickel butt contacts to deliver reliable high-performance electrical connections and extended operational lifespans.
Although the power circuit and receptacle ideally should be de-energized when the plug is not connected, unforeseen issues can arise. To enhance safety in such situations, the DSP400 incorporates a safety shutter that obstructs access to the receptacle contacts. This shutter opens when the plug is connected and automatically closes before the plug can be removed.
DSP400 plugs and receptacles achieve the standard IP69/IP69K environmental protection by simply connecting the plug and receptacle. Unlike other competitive devices that require threading or turning specialized rings to engage ingress protection, DSP400 eliminates the need for such steps.
DSP400 devices feature distinct mechanical keying to prevent incorrect connections. Additionally, color coding has been implemented to facilitate easy identification.

Lightweight fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic polyamide casing material enhances the overall performance, durability, impact, corrosion, and environmental resistance and longevity of the DSP400 in demanding industrial and environmental conditions.
